METAMORPHOSIS: THE FIRST SPORT UTILITY BIKE IN THE WORLD DESIGNED BY DE ROSA AND PININFARINA. 1024 576 Matteo Paletti

METAMORPHOSIS: THE FIRST SPORT UTILITY BIKE IN THE WORLD DESIGNED BY DE ROSA AND PININFARINA.

Turin, June 26th
Metamorphosis is born with two souls. An urban soul made of elegance and a unique style that make it the ideal bike for moving around in contemporary metropolises. And a sporting soul, made of performance and technology that transform it into the ideal companion for sport and for off-road trips. Metamorphosis has been shaped in the image and of the modern gentleman. A sophisticated creature, with infinite interests and performance in every sector of contemporary action.

THE EXTRAORDINARY VERSATILITY OF METAMORPHOSIS
De Rosa and Pininfarina present, in museum of Cambiano, the first Sport Utility Bike. A body with dynamic shapes like the more sporty Pininfarina cars. A monocoque inner mold carbon frame, lightweight and suitable for performance. A group of transmission Shimano Alfine 8 Speed group. 40mm high profile aluminum wheels that ensure comfort without neglecting the sliding speed. But above all the extraordinary versatility of a bicycle capable of interpreting the needs of contemporary life. The companion of every day to move effectively and sustainably.
Metamorphosis is able to transform itself from urban to gravel bike by choosing two set-up options. With the Comfort saddle and handlebar, maximum comfort is ensured in urban travel. It easily transforms into a performing gravel bike by replacing the same set-ups with their Sport version. Finally, the toothed belt transmission ensures maximum peace of mind and smoothness both in the city and off-road.

THE WORDS OF THE PROTAGONISTS
“It is the birth of a new category that until yesterday did not exist”, says Cristiano De Rosa, Director of De Rosa. “The choice of the best materials by De Rosa, combined with the attention to detail that has always been a symbol of Pininfarina excellence, has led us to a unique product in its aesthetics and versatility.”

“Metamorphosis is not a new bicycle but a new way of thinking and living the bicycle”, says Paolo Pininfarina, President of the Pininfarina Group. “An object with a strong personality capable of high performance in different contexts, from the city to natural environments. The innate propensity of Pininfarina to imagine new scenarios has found in De Rosa an extraordinary partner to make them real. “

The new bike goes to expand the De Rosa Pininfarina family of bikes, born from the collaboration between the two Italian excellences that share with each other values and perfection to detail.

THE BIRTH OF ANIMA, THE BIKE ABLE TO COMBINE TRADITION AND FUTURE VISION. 1024 576 Matteo Paletti

THE BIRTH OF ANIMA, THE BIKE ABLE TO COMBINE TRADITION AND FUTURE VISION.

Florence, April 14th 2018
It was held in the historic center of Florence, close to the cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the presentation of Anima, new De Rosa bike able to combine tradition and futuristic vision. Cristiano and Danilo De Rosa have chosen the city of art to present to their fans, many of them in Florence for the Granfondo Firenze De Rosa, every technical and conceptual detail of this new project.
Anima is not just a bike, but it is what most represents the vision of the Brand of Cusano Milanino today.

THE NEW ANIMA DE ROSA
A single word chosen to express the result of titanium processing, which has represented the excellence of De Rosa for over 25 years. Anima is born from here, from the desire to translate the vision and the frame culture of De Rosa into a product.
To those wondering what Anima is we can say that:
Anima is the essence of De Rosa combined with the best technology available at the moment.
Anima is a project born with the desire to express the Italian frame culture and the importance of Tailor Made concept, which has always been the basis of our Black Label.
Anima is the maximum expression of the construction of titanium frames, which for 25 years is the beating heart of the De Rosa works.
Anima is the desire to look at the present with a look projected on the future, without neglecting anything that has been done in 65 years.
Anima is the union of the new that advances with the nobleness of titanium and the best choice of components.
Anima is authentic, sincere and true.
Anima is De Rosa.

THE DECLARATION OF CRISTIANO DE ROSA
These are the words using by Cristiano De Rosa to describes his feelings about the concept that Anima expresses and its concrete realization: “I am particularly excited to have presented in an exclusive location Anima, the bike that most of all represents the essence of De Rosa. The tradition of Italian frame culture, combined with the Campagnolo technological revolution of the 12-speed Super Record, creates an authentic harmony, strongly present but able to “anticipate” the future. For 25 years the processing of Titanium is the excellence of the De Rosa production, which we passed down from generation to generation with passion and dedication. Getting it to relive in a modern way fascinates me.
It is not easy to express in words the feeling that this product is able to generate, but I consider it as a real gift that I decided to make to me, to the De Rosa brand and to all the customers “.

ANIMA TECHNICAL FILE
The technical file of Anima obviously starts from its frame, made of titanium and which represents the final result of 25 years of experinece. As well as all De Rosa titanium frames can be produced entirely custom made, following the geometries of each customer and falling under the Black Label, identifying the Tailor Made born in Cusano Milanino.
In detail, the frame is made up as follows: Titanium 3 tubing 2.5. Seat tube diameter from 35 to double butted. Top tube diameter from 35 to triple butted. Down tube diameter from 40 to triple butted.
Rear triangle: bi-conic vertical tube to the apex 16 diameter, in the middle diameter 19 (therefore 16-19-16).
Drop out Reynolds grade 9 Titanium on De Rosa design.
Bottom brackets Press fit box 86.5 x 41.
Head tube made from solid machined from a cnc solid, diameter 45 cylindrical. Every titanium material is created using Grade 9 titanium.
The low rear carriage represents another distinctive feature in Anima that gives that touch of “New classic” strongly desired by Cristiano and Danilo De Rosa.
Even the choice of components has been taken with the best attention in the details to give Anima the decisive and performing character of every bicycle with the Heart. In fact, it has a disc braking system and the revolutionary 12-speed Campagnolo Super Record groupsets.

You will not have to wait long before you can touch every single Anima details. It will be available on the market starting from the end of May 2018.

EDUARD GROSU WINS AT TOUR OF CROATIA

Eduard Grosu wins at Tour of Croatia, riding his Protos De Rosa. The rider of NIPPO Vini Fantini Europa Ovini team wins after a strong sprint with Nizzolo (Trek) and Minali (Astana).

Zadar (Croati) – 18th of April
The disappointment of the third place reached in the inaugural stage soon turns into a victory for Eduard Grosu, who wins the second stage of the Tour of Croatia and become the leader of general ranking. A grit and strength sprint to demonstrate the good physical condition in which the Romanian sprinter is and the desire to achieve this result.
Juan José Lobato, decisive for Eduard Grosu in the final kilometres of the stage, achieved the fifth place of the day.
For the NIPPO Vini Fantini Europa Ovini team it is the first win of the season obtained at the end of a stage race impeccably by all the #OrangeBlue riders.

EDUARD GROSU VICTORY
If the rain has influenced the inaugural stage of the Tour of Croatia, certainly the strong wind was the protagonist of the second stage. 231km races with strong wind that led the organizers, at the end of the GPM of Velebit, to neutralize the race for several kilometers. In the first part of the race there were four protagonists who undertook the breakaway of the day, constantly controlled by the #OrangeBlue team and by the other ranking teams. A series of fans lead to split the group, which returns all together at the foot of the last climb. The race explodes right at the end of this last climb, when, after the downhill, the riders enters the Zara circuit. A technical circuit full of curves that enhance the skills of the sprinter Eduard Grosu, who, at less than 800 meters from the finish line, anticipates the other sprinters going to take the stage victory and the Leader jersey of the Tour of Croatia. Behind him Giacomo Nizzolo (Trek Segafredo) and Riccardo Minali (Astana Pro Team) respectively in second and third position. Good fifth place for Juan José Lobato, precious help for Eduard Grosu in the final kilometers of the stage.

THE WORDS OF THE PROTAGONIST
Promise kept for Eduard Grosu, who yesterday declared to see in today’s stage the perfect opportunity for his redemption. He did it in the best way, cutting the finish line first and winning the Red jersey as leader of the general ranking. With these words the Romanian sprinter describes the success just obtained and thanks his teammates: “It was a strange race, conditioned immediately by the strong wind. As I said yesterday, today I wanted to make a result, I wanted to win. I won thanks to the work of all my teammates, precious in covering me from the wind in most of the race. I knew the final circuit of Zara well and could not be surprised. When 800 meters were left I decided to anticipate the others sprinter going to cut the finish line first. I do not know how the stage of tomorrow will go, but for the moment I enjoy this important victory for myself and for the Team and the Red Leader jersey “.
Even Valerio Tebaldi, sport director in the team car, want to describe is happiness: “Eduard has sprinted as a true champion with grit and the desire to make a result. We ride this stage as a great team and the victory testifies how much good we have done”.
